Belleville man faces charge after investigation involving child with bruises

An investigation by the Belleville Police Service and the Highland Shores Children's Aid Society program has resulted in an arrest. The investigation started on Tuesday after 3:30 p.m. and involved an 8-year-old child who reportedly showed up to school with bruising. Officers eventually attended a residence in Belleville and found a male and learned that this person had been previously released on domestic-related charges and was not to be at that residence or communicate with others who were living there.
