Beyond the Headlines - Matthew Staikos Memorial Park

On Friday, a two-year quest by a high-profile community builder to honour his lost son became reality. On Friday, the City of Quinte West joined the Staikos family for the official opening of the Matthew Staikos Memorial Park in the Appledene Park Estates Subdivision. In 2022, the City of Quinte West received a request from Nick Staikos, president of Staikos Homes Ltd., to name the park the Matthew Staikos Memorial Park in honour and memory of his late son. Now everyone knows the Staikos family and all they do for the community, so it was great to see this joint project...
