Northumberland OPP investigating serious crash in Trent Hills

A two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Trent Hills is being investigated by Northumberland OPP. Officers and EMS responded to the crash on Country Road 25 at Concession Road 8 on Saturday at around 3:45 p.m.  Four individuals were involved -- two of the individuals, a driver and a passenger, were taken to the hospital in critical condition before one of them was reported to have life-threatening injuries and was subsequently airlifted to a trauma centre by Air ORNGE.  Traffic was redirected in the surrounding area before the road was reopened nearly seven hours later.
