Tim Fluter (right) and Shelley Howard (centre) with the Campbell River Head Injury Support Society recently presented the winning prize package to Albert Nelson of Campbell River, after the society's recent fundraiser. Donations were made by several businesses in the community for the fundraiser, which was held to support of the local society. The society provides education, support, advocacy and fellowship to brain injury survivors, their caregivers, families and education to the general public about brain injury. They also operate several housing projects, including Linda's Place in Campbell River which opened in 2020. Linda's Place features several transitional housing units where brain injury clients have access to daily staff supports.
