Trenton arena back in service as cooling centre this week

The heat is picking up again and Quinte West residents will have some relief available to them the rest of this week. Quinte West city officials say the cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens will be open starting today until Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The city activates the cooling centre in Trenton when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher. Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford....
