Picton Metro hoping to ring up funds for Back the Build campaign

$2 donated by customers through the Picton Metro cash register can go a long way to helping fund better community patient care. The local grocery store is launching its fifth annual Round Up at the Register event next week to support the new Prince Edward County memorial hospital. From August 22 to September 4, Metro will ask customers to donate $2 to the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation's Back the Build Campaign when checking out. Last year, the store raised a record-breaking $15,043 for the new hospital campaign. The fundraiser has racked up more than $65,000 over the past four years. More on the campaign and...
