Belleville youth siblings make history at Governor General Interprovincial Tournament

Two local youth competed at the Governor General's Interprovincial Tournament between Ontario and Quebec on August 31, 2024 at Elmdale Lawn Bowling Club in Ottawa. Siblings Isaac and Elise KERR both won their novice singles matches, as well as their fun pairs at the tournament. The duo made history as they are the youngest participants and winners in the prestigeous event's 94-year inception. In singles, 14-year-old Isaac (Bayside Secondary School), won 21-9. 11-year-old Elise (Harry J. Clarke Public School), won 21-17. In the pairs match, they won 21-8.
