Structure fire in Prince Edward County

Prince Edward County firefighters were quick to keep a house from going up in flames on Friday afternoon. Approximately 30 firefighters from Station 2 (Bloomfield), Station 6 (Consecon), and Station 7 (Wellington), along with full-time staff from Picton, arrived at a storage shed on fire next to a house on Chase Road in Hiller. The shed's fire loss is estimated at $75,000, and firefighters limited the house's damage to minor water damage.  The cause of the fire is accidental as the investigation continues. There are no reports of any injuries....
