Community plan to help people with addictions comes to QW council

Taking action on drug and addictions issues requires a ‘locally-made’ approach and local organizations are answering the call. Executive Director of United Way Hastings and Prince Edward Brandi Hodge and Quinte Health Chief of Staff Colin MacPherson addressed council to seek support for a comprehensive "Community Plan for Integrated Addictions Care.” The plan involves Canadian Mental Health Hastings Prince Edward, the Interprofessional Primary Care Team of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, Quinte Health, Hastings Quinte Paramedics, Belleville/Quinte West Community Health Centre, Hastings County, Loyalist College, and Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
