Two dead and a third critically injured in confrontation in Kingston

Kingston Police have a suspect in custody following a deadly confrontation on Thursday morning. On September 12, 2024, at approximately 10:40 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a serious assault at the encampment around the safe injection site / Consumption Treatment Services (CTS) and Integrated Care Hub (ICH) at 661 Montreal Street. Upon arriving on scene, officers located three victims as well as a male suspect.
