Final stretch for work on Taylor Rd. bridge in Bracebridge

Starting on Sept. 16, Taylor Rd. near downtown Bracebridge will be back to only one lane as the final touches are put on the project.  One-way traffic will only be allowed to go westbound towards downtown.  Officials with the District of Muskoka say the closure will remain in effect until the work is done sometime in October.  They explain the work will include connecting the newly installed water mains and putting the finishing touches on the sidewalks on either side of the bridge and freshly paved road, among other things.  Officials say the single-lane closure is needed because of work that will be done on the Canadian National Railway line.  "The improvements we're making now will not only enhance the current infrastructure, but also make our underground services much easier to maintain in the future," they add.  The post Final stretch for work on Taylor Rd. bridge in Bracebridge appeared first on My Muskoka Now.
