Investments made to fuel local manufacturing, trades sector

A large provincial investment is helping train the future of the manufacturing sector and fuel the local economy. Ontario Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development David Piccini was at Loyalist College's Skills Training Centre's machine shop on Friday to announce more than $890,000 into a series of organizations. The Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP said the funding is projected to train 3,775 workers for in-demand careers like construction, advanced manufacturing and healthcare. This benefits the Ontario East Economic Development Commission, Junior Achievement of Northern & Eastern Ontario and Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.
