Weapon and threats call Friday resulted in charges against teen

Belleville Police were called to a business on Bridge Street West on Friday just after 4:30 p.m. regarding a male with a weapon. The suspect had reportedly brandished a filet knife while uttering threats to a customer. When officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene but he was identified after an investigation and was located a few hours later. A 17-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats -- the accused's name is not being released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act....
