Tyendinaga Mohawks celebrate ambulance base opening Tuesday

Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory’s emergency service response time for calls will be getting faster with a new ambulance base. The base, which celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday afternoon, will share space with the Mohawk Fire Department at 39 Meadow Drive. Two full-time ambulances run by Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services will be in service 24 hours a day, seven days a week from that location and will respond to calls in and outside of the territory.
