Belleville Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in the city on Tuesday. Officers responded to the collision after 7:30 a.m. that took place at the intersection of Mudcat Road and Phillipston Road. A 2003 Maroon-coloured Pontiac had reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign on Mudcat Road and left the roadway and entered a field where it came to rest. There was a search for the driver by police and the K9 Unit, but it was unsuccessful.
