Quinte West’s existing Industrial Lands Community Improvement Plan will be under review following recent changes to a development charges exemption. A staff report to Quinte West Council on Wednesday stated that now is an appropriate time to explore the option of revising the Industrial Lands CIP to include a larger DC incentive. With this existing CIP already in place to attract new development opportunities, the report explained an expansion of this incentive to reflect recent increases to both land sale and DC increases could be added to replace the Industrial DC exemption that has been in place until December 2024....
