Police pursuit in Belleville results in charges against Shannonville man

A 23-year-old Shannonville resident has a court appearance next month to face several charges when Belleville Police attempted a traffic stop on Monday.   The Police Traffic Safety Unit tried to stop a vehicle while on patrol in the city's east end at around 9:00 a.m., but the driver refused to stop.  After a brief police pursuit, the vehicle was pulled over and an arrest was made.  The driver faces charges of driving a vehicle with no valid permit, disobeying a stop sign, driving while under suspension, careless driving and failing to stop for police. ...
