Special Open House to recognize Fire Prevention Week in Belleville

Oct. 6 to 12 is Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme is “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” – a theme that aims to bring attention to the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home. Belleville Fire and Emergency Services is hosting an open house to mark this important week and invites all members of the public to attend. The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station #3 (4867 Old Hwy. 2). Attendees can enjoy a free lunch, visit with Sparky, tour fire trucks and the fire...
