Quinte Health facing patient surges, hiring new staff

As Quinte Health hospitals experience unpredictable surges in patients and ‘new patterns of demand,’ they are expected to have a better grip on handling the extra workload with new staff recruits. The QH Board of Directors heard at this week’s meeting in Bancroft the hospitals saw record volumes of medicine inpatients on some days throughout August and September.
