More than 200 people gathered for a special ceremony marking the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Belleville at Market Square. Monday's ceremony includes remarks from Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis and Chief R. Don Maracle of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte. The gathering also heard from survivor Wilbur Maracle, who told stories of his own experience in the residential school system, and those of many others at the hands of those who ran the institutions.
