Quinte West’s new parking system is set to be fully implemented. Council approved a parking by-law at its meeting on Wednesday, described as ‘the final step’ in implementing the system. Under this new system, the current free parking system will be maintained for residents and visitors within city parking lots and a two-hour parking limit for all on-street parking within the downtown core. As part of this approval, staff will prepare a tender for a new parking software program for the issuance of fines and processing and will bring forward the implementation costs to the 2024 capital and operating budget....
