Drug charges laid following traffic stop in Marmora & Lake

Several charges, including a few related to alleged drug trafficking, have been laid against a Trent Hills man following a traffic stop on the weekend. An officer from Central Hastings OPP was conducting speed enforcement on Matthew Street in Marmora and Lake Township around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday when they noticed a pick-up truck travelling at more than 70-kilometres per hour in a 50-zone. The vehicle was halted and the driver was arrested on multiple counts of prohibited driving. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of quantities of suspected cocaine, suspected hydromorphone pills, contraband cigarettes, over $400 in cash and items typically...
