Impaired driving charges have been laid following a single-vehicle crash in Madoc Township last weekend. On Saturday, December 7, 2024, just before 6:00 p.m., members of Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a collision at the intersection of Highway 7 and Cooper Road. A vehicle had left the road, collided with a hydro pole and then came to rest in the ditch.
