Traffic disruptions on Main Street in Picton next week

Motorists can expect traffic disruptions on Picton's Main Street near the hospital on Monday and Tuesday next week. Due to the ongoing road reconstruction in the town's east-end, County officials say asphalt paving will take place on Main Street from Division Street to 300 meters north of McFarland Drive. The intersection at Main Street and McFarland Drive will be temporarily closed on Monday while paving is taking place. Access to Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital from McFarland Drive will still be available. A detour route will be in place. Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels...
