Crisis situation diffused on Bay Bridge

A crisis situation was diffused on the Norris Whitney Bridge on Monday night. Belleville Police stated another policing agency had notified them about a 35-year-old woman in crisis in the area of the bridge, also known as the 'Bay Bridge,' around 9 p.m. Officers searched the area and found the woman who had climbed over the guard rail and was sitting on a light standard near the top of the bridge.  Belleville Police Crisis Negotiating Team members talked to her and peacefully resolved the situation with no reported injuries.
