Today, Marvelous Europe has revealed a trailer detailing paid DLC and a free content update for Potionomics: Masterwork Edition. In the new DLC Boss Finn, a wealthy potion dealer and Sylvia’s rival with underworld connections, will have a dedicated romance path that includes new story scenes. Developing a relationship with Boss Finn will unlock new haggling cards for Sylvia to use in her potion shop. In addition to being a romance option, Boss Finn has taken on a role as Rafta’s newest “life coach,” offering pep talks to Sylvia that provide various timed buffs and debuffs during potion-selling gameplay. In addition to the Boss Finn DLC, PC players will also receive a free content update. Potionomics: Masterwork Edition Content Update Features Voice Acting: Sylvia’s story will now feature voice acting, enhancing the connection with characters like Owl, Roxanne, Quinn, Mint, and others. Additional text languages, including German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese, will also be available. New Modes: Players can engage with new gameplay options, including an “Endless” mode where potion-selling continues indefinitely, “Capitalism” mode to test sales skills, and “Cozy” mode for a more relaxed experience. New relationship options in “One Love/Free Love” mode allow players to explore multiple romantic paths. Negotiation Mechanics: Players will manage Sylvia’s stress during tense negotiations by mastering new haggling strategies, developed through friendships with adventurers and shopkeepers in Rafta. Potion Crafting: Choose the best ingredients to create high-quality potions that satisfy even the most demanding customers, but beware of potential mistakes that can lead to less desirable results. Diverse Characters: Rafta is home to a range of RPG characters with unique personalities. Some will become allies in Sylvia’s journey, while others may challenge her efforts. Potionomics: Masterwork Edition is already available on PC and will release physically for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2024, the same day that the Boss Finn and content update arrive in the PC version. Boss Finn will be included in Potionomics: Masterwork Edition for consoles, while PC players can purchase the content as DLC for $4.99.
