Screen time syndrome: A growing concern

Generation Alpha, the cohort of children born between 2010 and 2025, faces a growing risk of virtual autism in Bhutan. Monthly, approximately 15 to 20 children seek professional assistance, largely due to excessive screen time exposure from early childhood. Though virtual autism shares symptoms and characteristics with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), they are distinct conditions with different causes and implications.
