Federal Government Upgrades YABATECH to University

President Bola Tinubu has approved the conversion of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) into a university. The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, confirmed this during a visit to the school. Official Confirmation The minister stated that President Tinubu approved the proposal without hesitation. The final steps, including official documentation and necessary procedures, are now in progress. The minister acknowledged YABATECH’s strong academic workforce, noting that over 200 staff members hold doctorate degrees in various fields.
