Olam Agri’s Feed Business in Nigeria Awards Back-to-School Scholarships to Students as Schools Reopen

 Lagos, Sunday, September 9, 2024, - Olam Agri, a leading agribusiness in Nigeria specializing in food, feed, and fibre, continues to demonstrate its unwavering dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians across the value chain. The company’s Integrated Feed & Animal Protein (IFP) unit has announced a significant back-to-school scholarship initiative, a testament to its commitment to community development for the children of its employees and members of its host communities in Ilorin and Kaduna. This initiative is part of Olam Agri’s Seeds for the Future (SFTF) initiative, which is committed to ensuring a secure and sustainable future for local populations. The scholarships cover educational expenses for selected students, including tuition, books, and uniforms. By investing in education, Olam Agri aims to create brighter futures for young people while contributing to the development of local communities.Amit Agarwal, Business Head of Integrated Feed & Protein at Olam Agri, stated, “We believe education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for unlocking potential. My parents can now focus on other needs. On behalf of my family and other beneficiaries, I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to Olam Agri.”Similarly, Alhaji Ibrahim Isiaka, the Asiwaju of Ogbondoroko Land, Ilorin, Kwara state, shared his appreciation: “On behalf of the entire community, we sincerely thank Olam Agri for supporting our children through the Back-to-School Scholarship program.
