A Professor of Educational Management at Adekunle Ajasin University, Comfort Adedoja Akinfolarin, will deliver the institution’s 31st Inaugural Lecture on Tuesday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the University’s Multipurpose Hall.According to a statement by the Chairman of the Ceremonies Committee and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Adebisi Daramola, the 31st Inaugural Lecture will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige. Invited guests are expected to be seated by 1:30 p.m.Prof. Akinfolarin’s lecture, titled “Resource Management: A Catalyst for Qualitative and Functional Education,” will explore the critical role of resource management in fostering quality and functional education.She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as well as a Master of Education degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University).A renowned researcher and accomplished academic, Prof. Akinfolarin has received numerous awards and has published extensively in both local and international journals. Many of her research works have become standard reference materials in the field of Educational Management.Currently a lecturer in the Department of Educational Management at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, she has also served the University in various administrative and academic capacities.A widely travelled academic, Prof. Akinfolarin has attended several conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria, including in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and East Legon, Accra, Ghana, among others.She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Home Economics Teachers Association of Nigeria (HECTAN), the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM), among others.
