Mrs Lagbaja Leads Charge to Uplift Army Wives, Organizes Mindset and Life Transformation Training

As wives of army officers, there are unique challenges faced, ranging from isolation due to spouses' frequent postings, handling complex social structures, finding personal purpose amidst the demands of roles, and the scarcity of job opportunities, amongst others.Recognizing these barriers and the impact they have, the 23rd President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Mariya Lagbaja organised the maiden edition of "The Mindset and Life Transformation Training" for NAOWA members in Abuja to support their personal and professional development.The two-Day "Mindset and Life Transformation Training" borne out of Mrs Lagbaja's interaction with the women and her understanding of the unique challenges they faced began in Abuja on Thursday and, due to its importance, the training will be replicated in all NAOWA Chapters across the country, ensuring that all members benefit from this empowering initiative.Speaking at the opening of the training, Mrs Lagbaja said this 2-day programme has been specifically designed to empower members of the Association with the necessary tools, skills, and abilities needed to overcome these identified challenges, fostering personal growth and transformation. Mrs Lagbaja noted that during this training, "we will explore the fundamental concepts of the mind and mindset, understanding how our thoughts shape our reality. Participants will also learn techniques to transform negative thinking into a positive one, amongst other carefully selected topics."As it is, our goal is to build a community of confident, purpose-driven individuals who are not only capable of contributing positively to their families and our association but also to society at large."By participating in this training therefore, we will be able to clearly define and achieve our goals as individuals, improve our relationships both at home and within the association, boost our self-confidence, and take active steps towards financial independence and personal fulfillment, amongst other benefits."She urged all participants to fully participate and engage with facilitators, absorb the knowledge, and apply it in their daily lives.She encouraged the army wives to seize the opportunity to transform their lives, build a supportive community, and emerge as empowered individuals ready to make a positive impact."Let us embark on this journey of transformation together, with faith that we can overcome any challenge and create a brighter future for ourselves, our families, and our Association." She addedMrs Lagbaja therefore thanked the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, for her dedication to uplifting the lives of women across the nation inspires us all and and we are very grateful for her guidance and support which have greatly contributed to the remarkable success of our initiatives and her unwavering support, encouragement to the association.She also extended her sincere gratitude to her dear husband, who is the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, for his steadfast support and commitment to NAOWA at all times.The resource person, Mrs Celina Unogwu, a Lead Consultant, Celina Unogwu Visioning Academy (CUVA), expressed confidence that every participant would be able to make a full blown journey forward at the end of the training.Mrs Unogwu, said the training was solely designed fir Nigerian Army Officers Wives to equip them on how they are supposed to do things in the home front and personally for themselves as army wives.
