AAUA VC felicitates muslims, urges unity, discipline

The Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, calling for unity and sustained commitment to the values of Ramadan.In a statement issued by the institution’s Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit, the Vice-Chancellor commended the Muslim Ummah for successfully completing the holy month of Ramadan, describing Eid-el-Fitr as a period of spiritual renewal, sacrifice and submission to the will of Allah.Ige urged staff and students of the university to sustain the virtues of self-discipline, charity and compassion imbibed during Ramadan, noting that such values are essential for personal growth and institutional harmony.He also called on members of the university community to promote tolerance, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence, irrespective of religious differences.“As we celebrate this significant day, I urge all staff and students to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan—patience, piety and perseverance—which are vital to building character and strengthening our community,” he said.The Vice-Chancellor further advised students to remain focused on their academic pursuits and avoid acts capable of undermining the peace and stability of the institution.He reaffirmed the commitment of the university management to providing a conducive environment for learning, research and character development.Ige, however, wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, expressing hope that the blessings of the season would bring progress and success to the university community, while also praying for continued peace and development in the country.
