RUGIPO Rector felicitates muslims, calls for unity, hope

The Acting Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Dr. Olorunwa Simon Adegun, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to remain hopeful and united.In a statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations and Protocol Officer, Olumide Olugosi, the rector commended Muslims within and outside the polytechnic community for their devotion and sacrifices during the Ramadan fast.Adegun described the fasting period as a reflection of patience, endurance and faith, particularly in the face of prevailing challenges.He urged members of the polytechnic community to sustain the virtues of compassion, tolerance and mutual support, stressing the need to show kindness to one another.The acting rector also called on staff and students to draw inspiration from the spiritual lessons of Ramadan by promoting peace, unity and understanding within the institution and the larger society.He further appealed to Muslim faithful to continue to offer prayers for the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for wisdom and guidance in steering the affairs of the state.Adegun prayed for renewed strength, peace of mind and greater opportunities for members of the polytechnic community, while wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
