Intel Now Shows Third Battlemage Graphics Chip – Possibly For Laptops

Along with the launch of the Lunar Lake laptop processing chip, Intel has also shown the Intel Xe2 graphics chip which will be the basis for the construction of the second generation Intel graphics card, the Battlemage later.Intel has already confirmed that the Intel Xe2 graphics processing chip will be used to power the Intel Battlemage graphics card which is expected to be introduced at the end of this year or early next year.A few months ago, details about Intel's Battlemage-G10 and Battlemage-G21 graphics cards were revealed, and it looks like they will be used to power desktop-class computers. Recently, details regarding the third Battlemage graphics chip have been leaked via Intel itself, and it is named Intel Battlemage-G31.According to the expectations of several websites reporting on this matter, this Intel Battlemage-G31 graphics chip will be used in next-generation laptops, and shows the use of 32 Xe2 cores. So far it is not known whether Intel will enter the high-performance graphics card market, but what seems to show for now is that this G31 model is seen to come with the most number of pins (BGA 3283) and the most number of Xe2 cores among the three graphics chips shown so far.Intel is seen to be in the testing phase for all these graphics processing chips. So far, what is known is that Intel will still only present graphics offerings in the entry-level and mid-range graphics card market, and is not yet ready to compete with AMD and NVIDIA in the premium-class graphics market.
