The series of laptops powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processing chip has finally started to enter the Malaysian market, and now, ASUS Malaysia has started pre-orders for their first CoPilot+ laptop, the ASUS Vivobook S 15.For the Malaysian market, this laptop is powered by a choice of Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processing chips with 32GB LPDDR5X memory and 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.It features a 15.6-inch ASUS Lumina OLED screen with a resolution of 2880×1620 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also comes with the ability to process 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, has a brightness value of 600 nits and supports DisplayHDR True Black 600 technology with a brightness value of 600 nits.As a laptop that focuses on the use of AI technology, the Vivobook S 15 comes with a number of built-in AI technologies, including Windows Studio Effects, an ASUS AiSense IR camera that can detect the brightness of the surrounding lighting to reduce or increase the brightness of the display and Adaptive Lock, which will lock the profile user when they move away from the computer, and unlock it automatically when the user returns to use it.In terms of plug support, Vivobook S15 has two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, two USB 4 Type-C plugs, one HDMI 2.1 TMDS plug, one 3.5mm audio plug and one MicroSD card reader.As a thin and light mobile computer, this laptop also comes with a 70Wh battery which ASUS says comes with a lifespan of 18 hours on a single full charge. It also supports the latest WiFi 7 wireless internet technology.In the meantime, ASUS Vivobook S 15 also comes with a thin design of around 14.7mm when the display is closed, and weighs only 1.47kg, which allows it to be carried anywhere easily.Pre-orders for the ASUS Vivobook S 15 laptop are open starting today at a price of RM6299 via Shopee and ASUS e-Store. Every pre-order of this laptop will come with a 100W GaN charger and also a one-year warranty extension where both of these extras come with a value of RM698.
