Samsung launched a number of 2024 Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor and ViewFinity monitors this week with each model now coming with a number of AI features that improve the quality of displayed graphics.Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 and Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 are two flagship monitor models for gaming. The Odyssey G8 is equipped with a 32" OLED 4K 240Hz panel while the G6 is equipped with a 27" OLED QHD 360Hz panel. Both are equipped with the Samsung OLED Safeguard+ system that prevents image burn-in on OLED screens as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support.The advantage of the G8 is that it comes with the NQ8 AI Gen3 chip that is also used in the Samsung 8K flagship TV. Through it low quality graphics can be enhanced to 4K using AI and also comes with the Tizen operating system allowing it to be used like a smart TV without an input connection. It is also the only model in this year's Odyssey series that is equipped with built-in speakers.Next is the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 2024, Samsung Smart Monitor M7 2024 and Samsung Smart Monitor M5 2024 which are also equipped with the NQM AI chip. This enables smart features to run applications, increase graphics quality up to almost 4K and analyze environmental audio for the most suitable audio settings. The M8 comes with a 32" 4K screen, the M7 with a 43" and 32" 4K screen and finally the M5 with a choice of 32" and 27" FHD screens.As the flagship model, the M8 supports 360-degree audio using Galaxy Buds and has a SlimFit camera that supports video calls. DeX support is also provided once.Last but not least are the Samsung ViewFinity S8, Samsung ViewFinity S7 and Samsung ViewFinity S6. Viewfinity S8 comes with 32” and 27” 4K 60Hz screens and there is a hub for USB and KVM support. ViewFinity S7 also comes with 32” and 27” 4K 60Hz. Meanwhile, the ViewFinity S6 is offered with a choice of 32”, 27” and 24” QHD screens and a 100Hz refresh rate. This model is also equipped with a USB hub and USB-C 90W support.At this point the selling price for all models has not been announced yet.
