PDRM, Pos Laju And Whoscall Work Together To Combat The Problem Of Parcel Fraud

During the three-year period from 2021 to 2023, a total of 8,011 phone fraud cases were investigated involving a loss value of RM440,971,870.50. Out of that number, 448 cases were fraud by impersonating Pos Laju officials involving a loss value of RM27,186,773.82.This year alone, until June 2024, 87 similar cases have been reported, and losses are estimated to be worth almost RM3 million. To combat the issue of fraudulent calls, Pos Malaysia will share all operational numbers with Whoscall, including postman numbers, which will be marked as "verified numbers". This will allow users of the Whoscall application to identify whether it is true that the caller is a Pos Malaysia official or not.Mr. Zaini Yahman, Director of Operations, Pos Malaysia said that this move will verify over 6,600 operational phone numbers used by them and eliminate uncertainty, build trust with Malaysians and protect them from fraud at the same time.As a promotion to support this initiative, Whoscall and Pos Malaysia are offering a 60-day free trial of Whoscall's Premium features. Malaysians can redeem this offer by visiting https://bit.ly/POSAntiScam, downloading the Whoscall application and using the PosAntiScam promotional code.
