Y2K Movie To Be Released – Comedy Story Based on True Tragedy

Who remembers the Y2K tragedy? I didn't because at that time I was still six years old. What I understand is, back then computer systems used the last two digits of the year for the date to save data. This caused the year 2000 (Year 2000) to become 1900 and indirectly the worldwide computer system was disrupted. Now after 24 years, this tragedy was filmed by A24 studio.Interestingly, the Y2K movie is said to be based on a tragedy that really happened on the night of December 31, 1999. The Y2K issue is very serious and affects everyone around the world. In Malaysia, there was also a Y2K Contingency Plan Operation around November 1999 to solve this problem. Although this film is based on a true tragedy, the action and things that happen in this film are fictional. It tells a comedy story about two friends who are trapped on the last night of 1999.In recent times, many films and TV series about the happenings in the technology industry have been shown. We've got Blackberry, the story of Theranos with Elizabeth Holmes, the rise and fall of Steve Jobs at Apple, the Apple TV+ series about WeWork and more. In the coming year, the year 2038, tragedies like Y2K are expected to return and a solution has not yet been found. This Y2K movie by A24 will be released in America on December 6, 2024. There is no information about the release in Malaysia yet.
