McAfee Introduces Functionality to Identify AI-Generated Audio in a Video

Today, we have already seen several videos and content spread on the web arena, which include changes made using generative artificial intelligence, at the same time leading to confusion for users. In fact, recently, popular influencer Khairulaming also fell victim to this matter.To overcome this problem, McAfee now comes with a feature to identify audio generated using AI. Named McAfee Deepfake Detector, it will alert users when it finds that the video you are watching has audio generated based on artificial intelligence. This function runs directly through the web browser, when you browse the web without any additional steps required.McAfee says this functionality runs on the user's computer, without the need to use cloud-based analysis. This new feature comes built-in with Lenovo Copilot+ laptops starting mid-September, in some markets on a limited basis. It is expected to be offered more widely moving forward.
