China Mobile Makes Strategic Investment In Honor
The telecommunications company in China, which is China Mobile today made a surprise and announced a strategic investment in smartphone manufacturer Honor. Honor was previously spun off as a separate company after Huawei was hit with trade sanctions by the United States.Since then, Honor has grown and started to gain a good market share – including in the Malaysian market. This investment is expected to allow Honor to continue to expand their product portfolio, as well as access China Mobile's channels and users better than before.For now, the amount of investment and stake in Honor by China Mobile is not disclosed. Previously, it was also said that Honor was considering a public listing of their company on the stock exchange.
