ZUS Coffee, one of the coffee shop chain that also integrates technology in its operations, has now announced that it has received an injection of funds amounting to RM250 million from several parties, including KWAP and also Kapal Api Group. This injection of funds is expected to be used in continuing to expand their offerings not only in Malaysia, but also in the Southeast Asian region.ZUS Coffee today has around 600 stores in Malaysia, and has also opened around 50 stores in the Philippines. In addition to these two markets, ZUS is also looking to introduce their offerings in Singapore and Brunei this year.Moving forward, ZUS also aims to open in more new countries by 2025. ZUS Coffee previously offered a user-friendly mobile application to attract many to use it and be loyal to the coffee offering. In fact, ZUS recently also experimented with a payment method using facial scanning.
