Taobao is one of the popular e-commerce sites used in China, but it may not have achieved high popularity in Malaysia when compared to others because of the Chinese language display which may limit the customer experience in buying the products offered. Today they have announced the English language option for Malaysian users. Not limited to just the English language option which should make it easier for local users to shop, Taobao also introduced the Local Return process where the goods that the user wants to return will be sent to the local distribution center, without having to wait longer if the return process requires the goods to be returned to shopkeepers in China. This at the same time increases the confidence of consumers to choose a guaranteed product. In addition to that, users can also choose the method of posting, either posting by air as fast as 3-5 working days, or choosing sea for cheaper posting that will take 10-14 working days. In fact, users can also enjoy free shipping if the item is worth more than RMB 199 (~ RM 121). Taobao itself has already offered free shipping for clothing purchases starting last August. You can download the Taobao app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and the English selection will be activated when you finish logging in. With the English option maybe we can see more promotions from Taobao for local users.
