Earth Now Has 8.09 Billion People

The world's population is now 8.09 billion, an increase of 71 million people from the beginning of the year, according to data published by the United States Census Bureau. However, the birth rate throughout 2024 is lower than in 2023, where the world's population increased by 75 million.It is estimated that 4.2 births and 2.0 deaths will occur every second on Earth on January 1, 2025. Birth rates on every continent except Africa show a decreasing trend. In Malaysia, the birth rate is 1.6 babies per woman, which is a sharp decrease compared to 6 babies per woman in 1957 and 2.1 babies per woman in 2010. A birth rate of 2.1 babies per woman is needed to maintain a country's population.The world's population will reach a peak of 10.29 billion by 2084 before declining due to the declining birth rate.
