With the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdtagon X Elite series of processing chips for laptop devices powered by the Windows for Arm operating system last month, a number of laptop brands seem to have started introducing their offerings for the Malaysian market.The latest is Microsoft Malaysia, which has announced that they have opened pre-orders for the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 devices powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processing chip options.The Surface Pro 11 tablet comes with a 13-inch PixelSense OLED screen display with a resolution of 2880×1920 with a 3:2 aspect ratio. In terms of internal specifications, this tablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processing chips, making it the first brand to bring the model to the local market.All Surface Pro 11 models come with 16GB of memory and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The tablet also comes with support for WiFi7 wireless internet connection for fast internet connection.As a sustainability measure by the company in reducing its carbon footprint, 72 percent of the tablet's frame is made from recycled materials.The Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 comes with the same CPU, memory and storage configuration options, but in terms of display options, it comes in 13.8-inch and 15-inch sizes.Microsoft Malaysia says that pre-orders for both Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 tablets and laptops are open starting today (11/7/2024) on All IT, iTworld by SNS Network, Gloo by SNS Network, Harvey Norman, PC Image, Senheng and TMT by Thundermatch.The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 tablet and Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 with Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB memory and 256GB storage are offered at a starting price of RM5399, up to the most expensive model powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processing chip with 32GB memory and 1TB storage is sold at a price of RM10,399.These products will start to be sold in the local market from 6 August 2024.
