Several previous studies on artificial intelligence (AI) have generally shown that it causes humans to become lazier and some brain functions to deteriorate if used regularly. In a recent study by the University of Montreal, AI has now been found to be more creative than normal humans.A study involving 100,000 participants found that generative AI such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini can now outperform normal humans in certain creativity tests. Models such as GPT-4, for example, showed strong performance in tasks designed to measure original thinking and idea generation. In some situations, it outperformed normal human responses.Only the most creative humans scored higher than AI. Those in the top 10% far surpassed AI's ability, especially in producing creative works such as poetry and story lines. The tests carried out in this study were writing haiku, summarizing movie plots, and writing short stories. So if you think you are creative, you can be sure that you are still better than the various generative AIs on the market. The study was published in the journal Scientific Reports
