In terms of music festivals in Australia, we’ve got Knotfest for the metalheads among us and Good Things Festival brings the alternative scene together for a huge day out up the East Coast – but progressive metal fans can salivate all over themselves over the return of Monolith Festival – boasting more intricate finger skills than a mid-2000s LAN Party. With superstars from across the globe descending upon Australia for the second run, and a big day of rubbing shoulders with musicians on the roster via workshops, panels and market stalls, it’s shaping up to be THE kick-starter to our Summer Festival Season – launching November 2nd in Brisbane one weekend, before Melbourne and Sydney sink their fangs into festivities the following.
