R34 GTT - R35 MAF vs Haltech MAP tuning 2026

Hey I’m just after some advice and opinions from you guys The second Z32 MAF sensor I bought for my 98’ GTT is playing up and I don’t want to replace it with a third. Currently running Nistune, hi flow turbo, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump etc…. This leaves me the options of A. R35 MAF sensor which needs to be recalibrated/ re tuned. Expected cost will be around $250 for the MAF sensor and $700 for tune B. Haltech Platinum Pro plug in $2300 and Will need to be tuned for an additional $700 thereabouts. I feel like this is a half measure as it supports MAP tuning but not wideband which I would like to have the option of down the track C. Haltech Elite 2500 ($3300)/ Nexus S3 ($3700) plug n play. The nexus is massive overkill for my build but once you add in a WB1 down the road the cost isn’t too bad. I was hoping there would be more used 2500’s on the market but they are asking a premium price for them I might as well buy new. Let me know what you think, I’m open to Link as well but my tuner seems to prefer Haltech and once you add on the MAP sensor etc there isn’t a huge price difference. Cheers!
