Water Feed / ReturnI've seen several different techniques for sourcing a water feed for the turbo, with others disregarding the water feed altogether (although I wasn't keen on this option, but each to their own). In the end, I decided to use the coolant drain plug on the exhaust manifold side of the block as the coolant feed. This can be identified from numerous sources as to where it is exactly, but THIS video shows it very clearly (the part at 5:44 always gives me a chuckle as the spurt is real). Thread is BSPT 1/4. Coolant Feed (From Block): BSPT 1/4 to Male AN6 Adaptor 750-06BLK Coolant Feed Hose: AN6 3/8" Braided PTFE Hose (Straight to 90°) 500mm - In hindsight, a straight fitting on either end probably would have been a bit easier, however the 90° worked fine. Being an AN fitting, not to hard to disconnect if wanting to do a coolant flush anyway. Coolant Feed Hose to Turbo: Aeroflow 18mm to AN6 Alloy Banjo Fitting - For some reason, the cost of this part was totally disproportionate to what it was, but was necessary to avoid fouling the heat shield on the turbo. Coolant Drain from Turbo: I was able to use the OEM coolant drain hard line from the turbo. Coolant Drain Piping: 8mm ID coolant hose from SCA or local automotive store. The coolant drain to tee was about 900mm, but recommend buying an additional 2m of this at the same time to replace all the coolant lines on the intake manifold. Coolant Drain Piping to Engine: Barbed Tee 8mm AN824-08MMBLK - After comparing the RB25DET water return, I was satisfied to use THIS solution, by teeing into the coolant lines on the intake manifold. Copper Washers*: Worth replacing every time you remove one of these coolant or oil fittings. I found some at a local nut & bolt shop for the feed and drain. Hose Clamps* Also bought a collection of assorted hose clamps for all the water lines to replace the weathered OEM items.
