IACV removeable or not?

Hey guys, Long story short I'm doing a full build on my GTR and wanted to know if I could delete the IACV from the bottom of my nismo collector. Is it necessary? I'm not all too familiar on the purpose of it I just always assumed it was some complicated manifold pressure relief, but wouldn't a BOV suffice?
