San Diego counter-protesters

SAN DIEGO — San Diego police officers are entitled to qualified immunity on the civil rights claims brought by a trio that says they were targeted by cops while counter-protesting at the San Diego “patriot march” in 2021. The court found no evidence that the trio was singled out, and police were doing their job in responding to an unlawful assembly, so immunity bars the lawsuit.
